Davido’s Wedding Tribute Song “Ogechi” Tops Charts in 8 Countries
A week after his wedding, Nigerian singer Davido took to social media to celebrate his latest achievement. The Afrobeats star praised himself and the three young artists, Boy Pee, Brown Joel, and Hyce, who featured him on the song “Ogechi.”
Davido had recorded “Ogechi” as a gift for his wife, Chioma, just days before their wedding. In his celebratory post, he suggested that Boy Pee, Brown Joel, and Hyce open a joint account for the song’s earnings. “Ogechi” has now reached number one in eight countries across West Africa, including Liberia, Gambia, Sierra Leone, Cameroon, Tanzania, Niger, Chad, and the Republic of Benin.
