DDG Responds to Backlash After Halle Bailey Split
American rapper and YouTuber DDG has responded to criticism following his breakup with Halle Bailey, his child’s mother. The artist announced the split on Instagram on October 3, 2024, stating that it was a mutual decision.
In a recent interview on the “No Ordinary Podcast,” DDG addressed the backlash from fans. He emphasized that despite the separation, he and Bailey remain family, expressing his continued love for her. He also urged people to respect their privacy, stating that no one knows the full story and dismissing rumors. “We’re just taking a break, and the future is uncertain,” he added.
Nigerian actor Tobi Makinde has reacted to rumours circulating about his relationship with Funke Akindele.
It can be noted that reports claimed the two were no longer on speaking terms and had grown apart.
However, the actor has dismissed the rumours, stating that nothing has changed between them and that social media is making assumptions.
“Nothing really happened between me and Madam Funke, and I am not aware of any fallout. Social media likes constructing their own script, and when they are done, they start looking for people to fill in the character they want.”
Nigerian singer Ayra Starr has shared her views on faith and religion. She explained that her relationship with God is personal and not solely based on church attendance, but something she works on daily.
“I can only try to be as perfect as Jesus is. I am not there yet, but I’m trying my best. I have a very close relationship with God and the Holy Spirit, and it doesn’t come with me only being in church.”

It can be noted that the rapper had earlier expressed her frustration on social media after discovering her card was stolen and used before it could be frozen.
She later revealed that the stores where the transactions occurred captured clear images of the suspects, and she intends to pursue justice.
“I got clear pictures of you all in Saks and in Apple. One thing about me is that I don’t play with my money. You all are going to jail,”.
