Deeone Calls Out VDM For Update And Accountability Over NGO Donations
Nigerian comedian Deeone has called out social media personality VeryDarkMan, demanding that he provide an update on the funds donated for his NGO.
Weeks ago, VeryDarkMan made headlines by requesting public support for his newly launched organization, which he claimed would focus on improving educational opportunities across Nigeria.
His appeal resonated with many, who contributed funds to back his cause.
However, since then, little has been heard about how the donations are being used or any progress made by the NGO.
In a video that quickly went viral, Deeone expressed frustration over VeryDarkMan’s silence regarding the donations.
He questioned why someone who had publicly sought financial support for a noble cause was now being so private.
However, Deeone insisted that the same level of openness displayed when asking for donations should be maintained to keep the contributors informed.
“I’m giving you one week, VeryDarkMan, to wrap up whatever is going on and update Nigerians about the NGO,” Deeone said in his video.
“People donated in good faith, expecting this money to help education, not for personal expenses. Nigerians deserve to know how their money is being used.”
Deeone didn’t hold back, hinting that VeryDarkMan’s connections in the industry could be why many other celebrities have stayed silent about the situation.
“He has some celebrities’ secrets, and that’s why they’re quiet,” Deeone added, pointing out that accountability should be prioritized.
“He made the plea for donations public; he can’t expect privacy now.”
