Delta State Police Arrest Two Suspects, Recover Ammunition and Firearms
Delta State Police Command apprehended two suspected armed robbers and kidnappers, recovering 968 rounds of AK-47 ammunition.
Anthony Godday was arrested in Aboh after a search revealed 930 rounds of ammunition, while his accomplice fled.
Ovoke Enaike was arrested in Ehwerhe village, with police recovering a locally fabricated gun and 38 AK-47 rounds hidden under his motorcycle seat.
Both suspects are in custody, and further investigations are ongoing to track down other gang members.

Rwanda Leads Africa in Mpox Vaccination, Targeting High-Risk Groups
Rwanda has become the first African nation to roll out vaccinations against the Mpox virus.
On September 17, 2024, the initial 300 doses were administered to high-risk individuals near the border with the DRC, which has been severely impacted by the virus.
The African Union’s CDC confirmed the DRC will start its own vaccination in October.
Mpox, previously called monkeypox, has caused significant outbreaks across 15 African countries, with over 29,000 cases reported.
WHO and Africa CDC emphasize the need for increased testing and vaccination efforts.
