Turkish football pundit Mehmet Demirkol has raised concerns about Galatasaray’s attack whenever Victor Osimhen is absent from the squad.

He stressed that the Nigerian forward plays a crucial role in the team’s setup, noting that his absence leaves a visible gap in their style of play. Osimhen is still working his way back from an ankle ligament injury he picked up while on duty with the Super Eagles, though there’s a chance he could make a return in Thursday’s Champions League clash against Eintracht Frankfurt after sitting out Galatasaray’s last league game.

Speaking on Socrates Magazine’s YouTube channel, Demirkol pointed out that Galatasaray struggles when both Osimhen and Barış Alper are missing, adding that the team is forced to switch tactics in such situations.

Meanwhile, head coach Okan Buruk has already shared an update on Osimhen’s fitness as the club prepares for the crucial European fixture.
