Former Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye, has expressed deep concern over the worsening hardship in Nigeria, saying the situation keeps getting worse by the day. Speaking during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Melaye described the hunger crisis as alarming, noting that many Nigerians can no longer afford to eat.

“We’ve never been in a condition this bad,” he said. “The level of hunger in this country is beyond explanation. People in rural areas are dying of malnutrition. Some have even resorted to searching through trash just to find something to eat.”

He blamed the harsh realities on the current administration, stressing that Nigerians are facing suffering they’ve never experienced before. Melaye also criticized the APC-led government, claiming it has failed to steer the country in the right direction.
