“Don’t Involve Me in Burna Boy and Speed Darlington’s Case” – Seun Kuti Says

Seun Kuti has made it clear that he wants no part in the ongoing dispute between Burna Boy and Speed Darlington.
During a recent Instagram live session, Kuti addressed comments from fans, emphasizing that while Burna Boy had gifted him diamond jewelry, it doesn’t mean he’s closely involved in his affairs or acting as his adviser.
Kuti made it clear that he wasn’t interested in taking sides in the situation, stating that his relationship with Burna Boy was not one of mentorship.
He also brought up Diddy’s role in Speed Darlington’s rise to fame, revealing that it was Diddy, not Burna Boy, who played a significant part in giving Speed Darlington exposure.
Kuti explained that Diddy reposted Speed Darlington’s track “Bangdadang,” which gave the song a huge boost.
In contrast, Kuti pointed out that despite his own extensive discography, Diddy never shared any of his music.

Tyla also praised Wizkid for his massive impact on African music, saying, “He’s done so much to spotlight our sound and our creatives to the world. He’s incredibly talented, and honestly, I don’t think he has a single bad song.”
