Dwayne Johnson and DiCaprio in Talks for Scorsese’s New Crime Movie

Renowned filmmaker Martin Scorsese is set to direct a new crime drama set in Hawaii during the 1960s and 70s, with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Emily Blunt in discussions to star.
The film will explore the true story of a crime lord’s battle against mainland corporations and rival gangs to control the Hawaiian islands. Journalist and screenwriter Nick Bilton is penning the script. Johnson and Blunt, who previously collaborated on “Jungle Cruise,” brought the concept to Scorsese and DiCaprio.
This project would mark the seventh collaboration between Scorsese and DiCaprio. Production details and release dates have yet to be announced. The screenplay is being crafted by Nick Bilton, a journalist and author known for his work on the HBO documentary “Fake Famous.”
