El-Rufai Leads Delegation to Seek Atiku’s Daughter’s Hand in Marriage
On Wednesday, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar welcomed a delegation headed by Nasiru El-Rufai, the former governor of Kaduna State, to his residence in Asokoro, Abuja.
According to a statement released by AbdulRasheed Shehu, Special Assistant to the former vice president, the purpose of the visit was to officially seek the hand of Atiku’s daughter, Hafsat Atiku Abubakar, in marriage.
“His Excellency Atiku Abubakar welcomed the family of Kashim Imam, led by former Kaduna State Governor Nasiru El-Rufai, to his Asokoro residence. The delegation came to formally request the hand of his daughter, Hafsat Atiku Abubakar, in marriage.
“Prominent dignitaries at the event include the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, and former governors Sule Lamido of Jigawa State and Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto State, among others.
“The mini-gathering was a testament to the esteem in which His Excellency Atiku Abubakar is held and the significance of the occasion.”
The proposal came from the family of Kashim Imam, a well-known political figure. The gathering marked a significant moment for both families as they moved forward with the formalities of uniting through marriage.
It has been confirmed that Kim Kardashian and Lewis Hamilton are in a relationship after the reality star shared photos and videos of the pair riding bicycles together.

The couple reportedly had a private civil ceremony and were celebrated as they emerged from the event. Reports also suggest that they are preparing for a second wedding celebration.
It should be noted that the couple began dating in 2024 and have previously spoken about building a future together.
It can be reported that there are rumors of Jacob Elordi and Kendall Jenner being involved with each other.
The pair were spotted together once or twice and many claimed that they are together.
An inside source interviewed by People shared that the pair like each other and are still figuring things out.
“They’re not trying to turn this into some big public thing,” the source told the outlet. “They enjoy spending time together in more private settings. They want to keep things low-key while they’re figuring things out naturally. Kendall really likes him, though.”
