Emeka Okoye Reveals How His Physical Appearance Affected His Acting Opportunities
Nigerian actor Emeka Okoye reveals that his physical appearance affected his chances of getting roles in the Nigerian movie industry.
The actor shared that his size prevented some producers from casting him in certain movies. He also mentioned that his faith guides the kind of roles he accepts, adding that he has turned down roles that do not align with his beliefs.
During a recent interview, the actor said, “At the start of my career, I faced the good, the bad, and the ugly. But I never gave up. Then, weeks later, I got a call saying Madam Kemi had picked me for a Netflix role. I screamed, dropped to my knees, and praised God.”

Nigerian TikTok influencer Peller makes headlines for his vows to his wife, Jarvis, at their white wedding, which was held on August 1, 2026. The couple had previously announced the date ahead of their wedding.
The influencer added in his vows “We are one. Whatever is mine is yours. I promise to do 50/50 with you; I don’t care what people say.”
Fans were left in awe of the couple and shared how their love appears genuine despite the content and jokes they often make online.
Nigerian music executive Soso Soberekon offers Peter Okoye ₦500 million if he beats his brother, Paul Okoye, in a boxing match.
It can be noted that the music executive wrote out the offer on his phone and simply put it out “₦500 Million Naira to fight your twin in a boxing match.”
