Equatorial Guinea Official Looped in Scandal as Wife’s Sex Tape with Another Man Leaks
The wife of Baltasar Ebang Engonga, the former Director-General of Equatorial Guinea’s National Financial Investigation Agency (ANIF), has become the centre of controversy following revelations of infidelity.
The incident came to light after popular social commentator Martins Ortse, known as VeryDarkMan, shared the news on Instagram.
Ortse, who frequently comments on African socio-political issues, posted images taken from the video footage showing Engonga’s wife in an intimate moment with another man.
Expressing his disbelief, he commented on the sensational nature of the scandal. Ortse noted, “Just when I thought this story was over, it’s taken another twist.
I just saw footage of his wife with another man—it’s unbelievable.”
The Instagram post quickly gained traction, with followers reacting to the ongoing scandal and its impact on Engonga’s public image.
This revelation follows closely on the heels of an earlier scandal involving Engonga himself, who was reportedly implicated in a series of misconduct allegations.
During a government-led investigation into a fraud case, Engonga was found to have amassed hundreds of compromising videos involving various women.
The released footage and accompanying allegations have only fueled the conversation, drawing attention to issues of public integrity and privacy.
In response, Constancia Mangue Obiang, Equatorial Guinea’s First Lady, addressed the scandal with indignation.
At a high-level meeting with Prime Minister Manuel Osa Nsue, she condemned the ongoing revelations, which she said brought shame to the country’s leadership.
The First Lady expressed deep concern for the public image of Equatoguinean women, emphasizing the need for stricter protections to safeguard their dignity and privacy in a rapidly digitalizing society.
Her public stance has highlighted the importance of addressing the misuse of digital platforms in exposing private matters.
Following the mounting evidence and increased public scrutiny, Baltasar Ebang Engonga was officially dismissed from his post and detained by authorities.

Analyst Says Tinubu Not Responsible for Recent U.S.-Linked Airstrike Claims
Nigerian news analyst, Mahmud Jega, has shared his opinion on the recent airstrike carried out by the United States in Nigeria, stating that Nigerians should not blame President Bola Tinubu for the incident.
Jega made this statement during a recent interview, where he said he does not believe many people will hold the Tinubu administration responsible, as Donald Trump had issued threats against Nigeria long before Tinubu’s administration.
“No, I don’t think many people will blame the Tinubu administration for what is happening now because President Donald Trump, when he first made the threats, it was clearly not in coordination with the Tinubu administration or the government of Nigeria,” Jega said.
