Ex-Premier League Star Joey Barton Guilty of Assaulting Wife in Drunken Attack

Former Professional footballer, Joey Barton has been found guilty of assault charge. This was reported by Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.

The ex-footballer was reported to have assimilated his wife by beating her after pushing her to the floor and kicking her in the head.

It can be recalled that the assault incident and charge occurred in 2021. The incident resulted as Barton was intoxicated and abused his wife after their children went to bed.

The sentence and punishment of the ex-footballer has yet to be stated.

He shared in a recent interview “The first thing he told me was, ‘I’ve come to ask for more vacation time for the national team players.’

“In the second conversation, he requested that I postpone training by an hour due to heavy traffic in Madrid at the time I intended to commence the session.

“In the third, he mentioned that the players preferred not to go to the hotel and instead wanted to meet on matchday and head directly to the stadium. Mentally, they were in a very poor state.”
