Spanish former footballer, Gaizka Mendieta, has shared that manager Cesc Fàbregas might be a potential replacement for Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, in the future.

During a recent interview, the former player stated that although he still sees Arteta continuing as Arsenal’s coach for now, Fàbregas could eventually take his place at the club.

“Whenever Mikel Arteta’s time at Arsenal is up and he is looking for new experiences, big clubs will be knocking on his door — Barcelona included — as well as other big clubs and even national teams. He will have a lot of offers on the table. I’m sure there have already been some conversations.”

Popular footballer Lionel Messi expressed his desire to return to Barcelona after the redevelopment of the Nou Camp Stadium is completed.

It can be noted that the footballer left the team in 2021 after joining Paris Saint-Germain.

The footballer shared that he and his family miss the idea of living there again.

“I really want to go back to Barça Stadium when it’s finished because since I left for Paris, I haven’t gone back to Camp Nou either, and then they went to Montjuïc. It’s going to be special, I’m sure.”
