Falz Reveals Relationship History and New Priorities in Recent Interview

Nigerian rapper and singer Falz recently opened up about his relationship history and preferences in an interview with Bibi Rai on the “Morning Rush Show.” Falz shared that his last romantic relationship was when he was 18 years old, and since then, he has not felt ready to commit due to various distractions.

Falz emphasized that his current attraction to a partner goes beyond physical appearance. He now prioritizes a person’s aura and energy over superficial qualities like beauty. He admitted that in the past, he was drawn to light-skinned women or those with specific physical attributes, but his focus has shifted to the kind of energy a person exudes.

He said, “My last relationship was when I was 18-years old, 2008 precisely. I’m not running away but it’s just been like a rollercoaster, a couple of different things for a couple of different reasons. I just haven’t felt ready. The aura, the energy, the swag. When I say the aura, I don’t mean that loosely; I’m coming from a realm where I thought I liked light skin or babes with big breasts, among other fickle things. I am in a realm where it is about the kind of energy you ooze.”

This revelation comes after fellow artist Simi disclosed on Angela Yee’s podcast “Way Up” that many people mistakenly believed she and Falz were in a romantic relationship. The two artists have a joint EP and a history of musical collaboration, with Simi hinting at a new song with Falz set to be released later this month.
