Fashion Designer, Veekee James, Opens Up on Sharing Her Marriage Online

Nigerian Fashion Designer, Veekee James speaks up on sharing her marriage on social media. In a recent podcast on Creativitea Live, the designer shared that she does not believe maintaining secrecy is the key to a long marriage.

Veekee James shared that she will keep on showcasing her marriage and that what she shows online is only a fraction of her married life.

“At first when we started getting backlash on social media, people kept telling me to keep my husband off the internet because he is a quiet man. Some even said that private marriages last longer.”

”However, I’ve seen marriages that were kept off social media and didn’t even last a month. I’ve seen things people hid that didn’t last.”

She speaks on her belief of not all private marriages are successful and backs herself for showing glimpses of her marriage online.

It can be noted that Don Jazzy, recently reveals with his struggle with commitment in a relationship. Reality star, Uriel, speaks on this and states that despite her love for him, he should look into a different type of woman.

I love Don Jazzy, I love him like no other. He’s such an amazing person. But I feel like when he said that he’s unable to be sexually committed to one woman, it boils down to the type of women he goes for. If I see him, I will tell him to try a different type of women.”

“A lot of the men in Nigeria don’t date for substance. They date for what they see physically, on the outside. That translates to the majority of Nigerian men. They cannot stay with one woman because they don’t date for substance.”

Nigerian actress Angela Okorie has publicly apologized to her colleague, Mercy Johnson, and Senator Ned Nwoko after taking time to reflect on herself and realizing the mistakes she made and the hurt she may have caused others.

This was prompted after the her invitation to the police station, it can be noted that Mercy Johnson filed a petition against over cyberbullying.

Once I’ve expressed myself, I forget about it and move on, but I realize now that my utterances whether uttered from the place of pain or not was hurtful, some events that has happened these past days made me realize that I should have done better.”

Popular Nigerian Actress, Ini Edo, speaks on her relationship with the woman who carried her child and shares that relationship is a special one and not transactional.

It can be noted that the actress made the decision of surrogacy after many miscarriages which became disheartening to her.

During an event conference held specially for Surrogate mother and IVF, the actress spoke on her journey to the other women. ”

For me, the journey was intimate and not transactional. The surrogate who carried my child was not a stranger from a nameless system. She was a woman with her own family, her values, and her dreams.

‎”She wasn’t a vessel. I was involved every step of the way. Intended mothers are typically involved in parental care, prenatal care, medical decisions, and emotional bonding during pregnancy.”
