FIFA Discuess The AFCON Qualifier Between Nigeria’s Super Eagles And Libya
FIFA Council member, Amaju Pinnick reveals the CAF verdict on the 2025 Africa cup of nations qualifier between the Nigerians super eagles and Libya will be announced “today or tomorrow’. The Super Eagles players and officials were held at the Al Abaq airport on their arrival for matchday four of the 2025 AFCON qualifiers. The team later returned to Nigeria after the delay.
The FIFA council, Pinnick, stated that the situation is being discussed among the council. He states that “CAF is taking this issue very seriously,” during an interview with Arise Television today. CAF President, Patrice Motsepe, personifies integrity and Pan-Africanism.
“We deliberated on it in our executive committee meeting. It was a subject of intense discussion. We pointed out the fact that this is very serious because anything could have happened (to the Super Eagles). So, CAF are taking the matter seriously and we’re not leaving any stone unturned.”

The referee reveals how it was his first time in a semi final and was kind of nervous. “I’ve been to three AFCON tournaments, but this is the first time I’ve been in a semi-final.”
“So when coaches choose you for that game, they know your skills and what you can do. But of course, you feel a little nervous because of the level of the match.”
