He reflected on one of the standout tracks, “Back N Forth,” where he collaborated with the iconic Nigerian musician Lagbaja. Fireboy described the experience as highly enlightening, as he praised Lagbaja’s dedication to his craft.

“Lagbaja is by far the most meticulous artist I’ve had the pleasure of working with. His attention to detail is unmatched,” Fireboy said, adding that one of his personal wishes was to see Lagbaja without his signature mask.

Despite the mask staying on throughout their time together, Fireboy expressed deep admiration for the veteran artist. “I learned a great deal from him during our studio sessions,” he added, underscoring how impactful the collaboration was on both a professional and personal level.

This new phase in Fireboy’s career, marked by his album and the upcoming EP with Lojay, shows the artist’s evolution and continued influence in the Afrobeats genre.

Fans are eagerly awaiting what promises to be a fresh and dynamic sound from two of Nigeria’s most prominent music talents.
