Gabrielle Union Explains Why She Is Leaving X After Recent Changes
American actress Gabrielle Union has revealed her decision to leave the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.
In a message posted on her X account on Friday, the actress explained her reasons for stepping away, citing significant changes that have altered the platform’s original purpose.
Union expressed concern about the shift in the platform’s ethos, particularly highlighting the return of controversial figures and upcoming adjustments to its terms of service.
She described how these changes have made the environment uncomfortable for her.
She stated that platforms like X were initially built on the principles of fostering genuine connections, promoting creativity, and maintaining respect for user privacy and trust.
However, she believes that these ideals are no longer upheld on X, making it hard for her to continue supporting the space.
Union voiced her commitment to engaging in online spaces that prioritize inclusivity, respect, and integrity.
She acknowledged that sometimes difficult decisions are necessary when certain boundaries are crossed, adding that the recent developments on X were her breaking point.
While her departure from X marks the end of an era for her presence on the platform, Union assured her fans that they could still connect with her on other platforms.
She remains active on Facebook, Instagram, Threads, Bluesky, Spill, and TikTok, where she plans to continue sharing updates and engaging with her audience.

It can be noted that the couple has been the talk of the year after their wedding held earlier this year. It can also be recalled that after the wedding, fans speculated that the actress might be pregnant.
However, it was never confirmed, fans hereby took the response as denial.
The couple then took their fans and friends by genuine surprise as they announced their pregnancy on their official instagram page.

It can be recalled that Actor Yul Edochie, called out that it’s time for Igbo men to become the president. Which prompted the discussion of Igbo people in politics.
Pete Edochie then stated in a recent interview, “An Igbo man is not a good politician. And I will tell you why, people who are used to politics or the treachery that characterised politics, can overlook a lot of things.”
“But the Igbo man is not constituted to condole treachery a second time. If you hurt the Igbo man once in politics, he will never give you an opportunity to hurt him again. He will recoil himself. That’s the average Igbo man.”
Nigerian actress, Queeneth Hilbert, caused stir amongst fans after she called out colleague, Yul Edochie in a now deleted post.
The actress accused Yul of getting lost in his choice of polygamous lifestyle. She took to her Instagram page to comment “GOD PUNISH YOU 🔨🔨🔨,” she wrote, followed by “A man that is locked up in 21 bottles” and “Polygamous FAGGOT F*CK YOU ‼️”
This sparked reaction from fans as they commented in shock.
