Manchester United manager Rúben Amorim has opened up about Alejandro Garnacho’s decision to leave the club, despite his obvious talent. Amorim admitted that things simply didn’t click between him and the young Argentine star during their time together at Old Trafford.

“He’s a really talented boy… but sometimes things just don’t work out,” Amorim said in an interview with the BBC. “It’s hard to say exactly why. It’s clear he wants something different—new leadership, a fresh start.”

Garnacho has made it known he wants to stay in the Premier League, and Chelsea are one of the clubs keeping close tabs on him. Though there are no official talks yet, the Blues have added Garnacho to their shortlist, alongside Leipzig’s Xavi Simons. Both players are reportedly interested in making the move to Stamford Bridge.
