Originally launched in 2001, “Shrek” became a cultural phenomenon, spawning sequels in 2004, 2007, and 2010, along with spinoffs and a Broadway musical. Despite ups and downs, the franchise maintained popularity through memes and spinoff content like “Puss in Boots.”
The revival of “Shrek 5” follows longstanding plans for sequels initiated by DreamWorks, with recent updates including involvement from Illumination CEO Chris Meledandri and ongoing development led by writer Michael McCullers and director Walt Dohrn. Nigerian singer Timaya has spoken about elections, urging Nigerians to think carefully about their choices and the longer-term consequences of their votes.
Speaking on the state of the country, he said Nigerians have choices and should be intentional about them.

The singer Young Jonn took to social media and excitedly shared “I need like 5 bad friends way we go dey move in bulk!” Young Jonn wrote.
Blaqbonez then replied, wanting to join: “Oya, make we dey together, sing as one.”
