Published

on

Flights at Berlin Brandenburg Airport were suspended on Friday morning due to a “technical problem,” causing delays and cancellations until 10:00 am (0800 GMT), with no clear time for resumption.

This incident coincides with massive IT disturbances reported in several countries.

Australia experienced a large-scale IT outage affecting the national broadcaster, its largest international airport, and a major telecommunications company.

The disruption came as US tech giant Microsoft undertook “mitigation actions” to address service issues. The UK’s largest rail operator also warned of potential train cancellations due to IT problems.

In the US, all flights from major airlines like Delta, United, and American Airlines were grounded on Friday morning due to a communication issue, according to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), impacting flights regardless of their destination.
