The family and friends of the beloved actor John Okafor, famously known as Mr Ibu, have launched a GoFundMe campaign to help cover the costs of his upcoming burial.

Mr Ibu’s funeral is planned to take place soon after his passing at Evercare Hospital in Lagos, where he succumbed to a prolonged illness that required several surgeries, including the amputation of his leg.

To honor his memory and celebrate his life, a central planning committee of family and friends is organizing the funeral and reaching out to the public for donations to manage the expenses.

They highlighted the substantial medical bills Mr Ibu incurred and are seeking public support to ensure he receives a fitting farewell.

The planned funeral events will include a novelty football match, a candlelight vigil, and a wake to commemorate his life and legacy.
