Governor Radda Unveils Key Initiatives for Katsina

Katsina State Governor Dikko Radda has emphasized his commitment to enhancing critical infrastructure and supporting entrepreneurship to advance the state. Speaking at the Award/Dinner Night for the 37th anniversary of the state’s creation, he highlighted the creation of the Ministry for Internal Security and Home Affairs, which has recruited 1,456 Community Watch Corps members and plans to add 500 more to improve security against banditry.

In the last 14 months, Radda’s administration has focused on education by hiring 7,325 teachers and sponsoring 109 students in fields like Artificial Intelligence and MBBS in China and Egypt. Additionally, he announced plans to upgrade three primary health centers to general hospitals and renovate over 100 healthcare facilities, aiming to establish at least one functional primary healthcare clinic in each of the 361 political wards.

Concern Grows Over Rising Insecurity Following Kwara Abduction Case

It was reported that bandits were seen in Kwara State and abducted six residents from Rukpete Village.

The incident was reported to have occurred on June 8 at about 11 p.m.

Sources revealed that seven people were initially taken, but an elderly man was later released, leaving six victims in captivity.

The rising cases of insecurity in the country remain quite alarming.
