Guardiola Impressed by Khusanov’s Attitude Performance at Man City
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has praised twenty years old Abdukodir Khusanov for his impact since joining the club in January.
The young defender made just his third appearance for City in their 1-0 win over Tottenham, helping secure a crucial three points as Erling Haaland’s goal sealed the victory.
After the match, Guardiola spoke highly of Khusanov’s attitude and performance.
“He didn’t bring a wash bag, nothing… just came to play football,” Guardiola said, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano. “What I love is how much he’s already liked in the dressing room. He just laughs all the time.”
Guardiola mentioned the 20-year-old’s qualities, calling him “reliable, fast, and quick,” with impressive passing ability.
“Of course, he still has to improve, but he’s so young. He has incredible pace, and people adore him because he’s humble, works hard, and never complains. I’m sure our fans will love him too.”
The City boss also admired how calmly Khusanov handled his early challenges, including a tough debut against Chelsea, and believes the defender has been outstanding in recent games.
