“His Focus on Football Has Taken Him to This Level” – Ademola Lookman’s Father
The father of Ademola Lookman, who was recently named the 2024 CAF Men’s Player of the Year, has shown pride in his son’s achievements.
He was honored with Africa’s prestigious football award during a grand ceremony held in Marrakech, Morocco, on Monday night.
With his victory, Lookman joins an elite list of Nigerian footballers, becoming the sixth player from the country to receive the coveted title.
Also, he follows in the footsteps of his compatriot Victor Osimhen, who won the award the previous year.
Lookman’s father, who attended the ceremony with his son, couldn’t be prouder of the winger’s success.
He spoke to LiveScore, mentioning his son’s relentless commitment to the game and his desire to stay out of the limelight.
According to the elder Lookman, his son’s focus has always been on improving his skills and making meaningful contributions to his team rather than seeking attention.
“I am extremely proud of him,” the father said.
“Ademola is a very committed player, and what stands out the most is his humility.
He doesn’t seek unnecessary publicity or fame.
His primary focus has always been football, and it is this determination and dedication that has led him to achieve such great success.”
Lookman, who currently plays for Atalanta in Italy’s Serie A, has earned recognition not only for his on-field talent but also for his strong work ethic and professionalism.
