“I Hope to Feel Better Soon” – Shakira Hospitalized in Peru for Stomach Issue
Shakira has been hospitalized in Peru due to a stomach-related health issue, forcing her to cancel her scheduled performance on Sunday.
The Colombian pop star shared the news on social media, explaining that she had to rush to the emergency room the night before and was advised by doctors to rest.
“I’m really sorry to say this, but I had to go to the emergency room last night because of an abdominal issue, and I’m still in the hospital. My doctors have told me I’m not well enough to perform tonight,” she wrote.
Shakira arrived in Lima on Saturday for her first performance there in over a decade, and fans welcomed her in large numbers at the airport.
Despite the setback, she remains hopeful about her recovery. “I hope to feel better soon and be discharged as soon as possible so I can give you the show I’ve been preparing,” she added.
