“I Sacrificed My Holiday” — Ini Edo on Making ‘A Very Dirty December’
Nigerian actress and filmmaker Ini Edo speaks on her movie “A Very Dirty December” that she released last December.
The actress shared that she must have been overambitious with the movie.
“I knew it was kinda overambitious of me to think I could run this whole December race, but my coconut head, I’ve always known myself to follow my gut and do as I please.”
“So yeah, I sacrificed my holiday to achieve my ambition. I am particularly proud of myself and my team, who were kind enough to stay committed to the project. We came, we pushed, made our mark and learnt our lessons.”

Davido Reflects on His Generation’s Future in the Music Industry
Nigerian singer Davido speaks to his colleagues and shares that it is time for them to take a step back and let upcoming and rising stars shine.
“This is me and my contemporaries’ last 5–6 years. I am not going to be 40, still dragging the spotlight with guys in their 20s. Jay-Z took a break and he is doing his thing.”
“I can take a 10-year break, come back, and still do a 50-arena tour. I have the catalogue. I might decide not to make another song for the rest of my life, and nobody is touching my catalogue.”
“There are so many other things music should be able to help you branch into. I am not saying we should retire. But I am not going to be 40 and dragging the spotlight with some 20-year-old kid.”
