This isn’t the first time Minaj has addressed rumors about her career. In 2019, she did take a brief pause from music after announcing her retirement on X, formerly known as Twitter, to focus on starting a family.

At the time, the news came just a couple of months after she tied the knot with her longtime partner, Kenneth Petty, in October 2019.

The couple welcomed their first child, a son, on September 30, 2020.

Though her break from the spotlight was short-lived, Minaj’s return to music has been met with excitement from her fanbase.

Since her comeback, she has been active in releasing new music and going on tours, continuing to solidify her status as one of the most influential figures in the rap industry.
