Anthony Joshua has hinted that he could hang up his gloves in 2025, marking the end of a 12-year professional boxing career. The former world champion, who last fought in September 2024 and suffered a knockout loss to Daniel Dubois, suggested in a recent interview that his final fight may come before the year ends.
Speaking on the Ariel Helwani Show, the 35-year-old praised MatchRoom Boxing, the promotion team he’s been with since turning pro in 2013, and hinted that he’ll finish his journey with them. “It’s been 12 years with MatchRoom, and after 12 years, I’ll throw my last punch with them,” Joshua said. “They’ve helped fighters chase greatness, and I’m proud to have been part of that.”

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has confirmed he’ll be stepping away from football for a long break once his time at the club ends. The 54-year-old, who has led City to 18 trophies, including six Premier League titles and a Champions League win, says he plans to prioritise his health after years in the dugout.
Guardiola, who joined the club in 2016, revealed in an interview with GQ Spain that taking a break is not just an idea, but a firm decision. “I’m definitely going to stop after this chapter with City,” he said. “It’s already decided. I just don’t know how long—maybe a year, maybe five, maybe even more. But I need time to take care of myself.” His current contract runs until 2027.
