Jimmy-Jay Morgan Extends Chelsea Contract for Three More Years

Jimmy-Jay Morgan has shared his excitement following the signing of a new contract with Chelsea, extending his commitment to the Premier League club for an additional three years.

The 18-year-old forward, who originally joined Chelsea from Southampton at the end of the January 2023 transfer window, expressed his joy at the extension.

In a statement made to Chelsea’s website on Wednesday, Morgan said, “I am incredibly pleased to extend my stay with Chelsea.

It’s an honour to be part of such a renowned club. Since I arrived, I’ve felt very much at home, which has given me the confidence to push my limits and strive for excellence. I’m truly thankful and feel fortunate to be a part of this amazing team.”

Morgan made a significant impact during the 2023–24 season, finishing as the top scorer for the Under-21s with 16 goals across all competitions.

Rooney said the players kept passing the ball around instead of taking their chances to score. He added that having Cristiano Ronaldo on the pitch meant they should have made better use of him.

“When you are playing with Cristiano Ronaldo, you must make use of him. The ball could have been delivered into the box by Bruno, but he chose not to do so.”

“If you include him in the game, you need to utilize him; he remains a significant threat for Portugal during set pieces.”
