Kalu Urges South East to Join Mainstream Politics for 2027 Victory
Former Abia State Governor and current Senator for Abia North, Orji Uzor Kalu, has urged the South East to take full advantage of the benefits that come with being part of the country’s mainstream political landscape.
In a post shared on his official Facebook page, Kalu expressed concern that President Bola Tinubu was dissatisfied with the 4% vote he received in Abia State during the 2023 presidential election. He pointed out that this was troubling, especially given the strong presence of APC personalities in Abia at the time.
Kalu called on APC members to unite and work towards securing victory for the party in Abia in 2027. He added that the stakeholders’ meeting he held at his Abuja residence was aimed at rallying Abia APC members and promoting unity within the party. He also clarified that Governor Alex Otti was not part of the discussions.
While Kalu avoided publicly criticizing Governor Otti, he emphasized that the people, not any individual, should determine the fate of their leaders. He recalled the 2019 elections when President Buhari secured 68% of the vote in his constituency, but President Tinubu could only manage 4% in the entire state in 2023.
Kalu concluded by stressing that the South East must align itself with the broader political environment, saying, “The South East as a whole has to belong where other Nigerians are sitting.”
It has been reported that the United States Embassy in Kuwait has officially closed down due to the attack occurring in the Middle East. This closure was announced in an alert issued on the 3rd of March, 2026.
“Security Alert: U.S. Embassy Kuwait Closure. Due to ongoing regional tensions, the U.S. Embassy in Kuwait will be closed until further notice.”
“We have canceled all regular and emergency consular appointments. We will communicate when the embassy returns to normal operations.”
It has been reported that armed bandits attacked the Janjala village Kaduna State.
It was shared that 1 person was injured while some people were abducted. It can be noted that this incident occurred on the 2nd of March, 12:30am.
The residents from the area shared the news to the headquarters and spoke on the victim who was injured. They shared that he was shot and rushed to the hospital.
Nigerian comedian Seyi Law takes to social media as he defends President Bola Tinubu. The comedian stated that the president has done a lot in his administration and claimed that Nigeria is safer and economically sound under his administration.
He then compared how things now to past years under the administration of others, and shared how things were bad. He claimed that now the economy is stabilized.
“Nigeria is safer now than 10 years ago. This government has killed more bandits than any government in Nigeria since the time of Jonathan. When last have you heard of bomb blast in Nigeria?”
