Karen Carney Says Bruno Fernandes Is the Only World-Class Player at Man United

Former England international Karen Carney has claimed that Manchester United have only one ‘world-class’ player in their squad, pointing to Bruno Fernandes as the standout performer.
Carney, speaking on TNT Sports, expressed her concerns about United’s struggles, attributing much of the team’s dependence to Bruno Fernandes.
She emphasized the Portuguese playmaker’s importance, calling him “world-class” and a vital figure in the squad.
“Manchester United fans don’t even want to imagine life without Bruno,” Carney said.
“He’s maybe the only world-class player in that team, which is shocking when you think about it. He’s so key for them.”

Osimhen to miss Nigeria’s world cup qualifier against South Africa due to injury

Victor Osimhen will miss Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against South Africa after picking up an injury in the win over Rwanda.
The striker, who plays for Galatasaray, went off in the first half of the Super Eagles’ 1-0 victory at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Saturday and was replaced by Cyriel Dessers.
Head coach Eric Chelle revealed after the match that Osimhen would be monitored, but an update from team media officer Promise Efoghe confirmed the forward woke up on Sunday with pain in his chin and has now been ruled out of the trip.
The 26-year-old will return to Turkey for further checks and treatment. Nigeria is set to face the Bafana Bafana of South Africa on Tuesday at the Toyota Stadium in Bloemfontein.

Chelle says Super Eagles will be happy with any kind of win against South Africa

Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has made it clear that his side will be satisfied with any kind of win when they face South Africa, even if it’s just by a single goal.
Nigeria boosted their World Cup hopes with a narrow 1-0 win over Rwanda in Uyo on Saturday, a result that pushed them up to third place in Group C.
The team now heads to Bloemfontein for Tuesday’s clash against the Bafana Bafana, where they’ll be aiming to cut down Hugo Broos’ lead.
“For us, the most important thing is to get the three points. Even if it’s 1-0, we’ll take it,” Chelle said.
