Katsina Government Lifts Curfew After #EndBadGovernance Protest
The Katsina State government has announced the lifting of the curfew that was previously imposed in response to the #EndBadGovernance protests, which had been marred by vandalism and destruction of public property.
This decision was communicated by Mr. Abdullahi Aliyu-Yar’adua, the Director of Press in the Office of the Secretary to the State Government, in a statement released on Tuesday in Katsina.
According to the statement, the acting governor, Malam Faruk Lawal-Jobe, has decided to remove the curfew effective immediately due to the current state of peace and order observed throughout the region.
This measure is intended to allow residents to resume their daily activities and conduct their business without any restrictions or hindrance.
The government has urged all citizens to remain vigilant and report any unusual or suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities to ensure timely intervention. This call for vigilance underscores the administration’s commitment to addressing and mitigating security issues within the state.
