Big Brother Naija Season 9 winner, Kellyrae, recently shared that he gifted his wife, Kassia, a large sum from his prize winnings.

According to him, he transferred N55 million out of the N60 million he received after winning the reality show.

Kellyrae and Kassia both entered the competition as a duo, famously known as DoubleKay.

However, partway through the show, Biggie decided to unpair all the housemates, leaving them to fend for themselves individually.

Initially, DoubleKay was seen as one of the strongest pairs in the house, with many fans rooting for them to win together.

But after the separation, Kellyrae’s management chose to focus on his solo journey, backing him to go further in the game while Kassia had to navigate her own path.

Their decision stirred reactions among fans, especially when Kellyrae openly expressed his desire to win the N100 million grand prize, even if it meant competing against his wife.

Kellyrae’s win eventually came with a N60 million cash prize along with a brand-new car worth N40 million, making him one of the most celebrated contestants of the season.

During an Instagram live session with his wife on Tuesday, Kellyrae excitedly mentioned that he had already given Kassia the majority of the prize money, saying: “The prize money was N60 million, and I’ve already sent Kassia N55 million to take care of herself.”

However, Kassia quickly denied this, challenging her husband’s claim.

With a laugh, she responded, “To which account did you send the money? Why are you lying? You’re lying to your fans who voted for you.”

Despite her playful confrontation, Kellyrae brushed off the accusation, attributing it to poor network issues and humorously saying, “It’s bad network. My fans won’t drag me.”

Kellyrae’s playful banter with his wife during the live session has kept fans entertained, sparking more curiosity about the dynamics of their relationship post-BBN.

The couple, once viewed as a strong alliance in the house, now faces the real-world attention that comes with the fame and fortune of winning such a popular reality show.

Fans continue to speculate on whether Kellyrae will indeed fulfill his promise or if this playful exchange hints at a different story behind the scenes.
