Kiko Casilla Urges Real Madrid to Consider Vinicius Jr on Saudi Offers

Former Real Madrid goalkeeper Kiko Casilla has advised the club to have an open conversation with Vinicius Jr. about his future, especially with reports linking the Brazilian star to the Saudi Pro League.
He believes it would be a mistake for Madrid to dismiss the offers outright without first knowing how Vinicius feels.l
Speaking to AS, Casilla admitted he is unsure if the rumored offers from Saudi clubs are real, but he emphasized that the club should not assume Vinicius wants to stay without asking him.
He stressed that forcing an unhappy player to remain could have a negative effect on the team.
“If I were in the club’s position, the first thing I would do is ask the player what he wants. If a player wants to leave, you have to respect that,” Casilla said.
However, he personally thinks Vinicius should reject the move. “If I were in Vinicius’ shoes, I would stay. I respect the Saudi league, but Real Madrid is Real Madrid.
You are young, a key player, and you still have many years to bring joy to the fans. The Saudi clubs could come back in five years with another offer, but right now, you should stay.”

“You Don’t Look Like Me, You’re Very Ugly” – Ronaldo Teases Lookalike

Al Nassr’s forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, jokingly called his lookalike, Gokmen Akdogan, ugly, insisting they don’t actually look alike.
Ronaldo had the playful moment before Al-Nassr’s Saudi Pro League match against Al-Shabab on Friday at Al-Awwal Park. While warming up, he noticed Akdogan in the stands and couldn’t resist making a comment.
Akdogan, a Turkish social media personality, has gained fame for his striking resemblance to Ronaldo. He moved to Saudi Arabia and creates content ranging from comedy to football. He’s also built a solid social media following and is often spotted around Riyadh, surprising fans with his Ronaldo-like appearance.
When Ronaldo saw Akdogan, he couldn’t hold back. “Bro, you don’t look like me. You’re very ugly,” Ronaldo joked, as reported by journalist Khalid Alolyan.
Akdogan took it in good spirits, smiling through the exchange and responding, “You are the best, bro. You are the best.”

Khumalo Confident as Bantwana Aim To Secure World Cup Spot Against Nigeria

Bantwana of South Africa head coach, Ntombifuthi Khumalo, is determined to lead her team to the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
Khumalo’s squad will face Nigeria’s Flamingos in the first leg of their second qualifying round at Lucas Moripe Stadium in Pretoria on Saturday. Kick-off is set for 3 pm local time (2 pm in Nigeria).
Bantwana had a dominant run in the first round, crushing Gabon 22-1 on aggregate. However, Khumalo knows Nigeria will be a much tougher opponent.
“We are focused on getting to the World Cup,” Khumalo told safa.net. “Our plan is to manage each 15-minute period carefully, focusing on our defense to avoid conceding.”
She added that her team will play with an aggressive mindset. “We will press high and create scoring chances because we can’t win without attacking. But our main priority is to stay solid at the back and avoid conceding.”
Khumalo also mentioned that her team has worked on tactical adjustments, especially focusing on defense and pressing high up the pitch. The overall winner from this tie will advance to the final qualifying round.

“Arsenal Will Win at Old Trafford” – Shearer Predicts Weekend Fixtures

Former Newcastle United striker Alan Shearer has shared his predictions for some of the key Premier League matches this weekend.
Liverpool are currently sitting 13 points clear at the top and will host bottom-placed Southampton at Anfield. Arsenal, meanwhile, will aim to close the gap when they visit Manchester United at Old Trafford.
The weekend’s action will kick off with Nottingham Forest taking on Manchester City as Forest continue their push for a Champions League spot.
Speaking to BetFair, Shearer said Forest’s impressive season could get even better. “Imagine them finishing in the top four and winning the FA Cup — that would be huge for Forest fans,” he said, predicting a draw.
On Liverpool’s clash with Southampton, Shearer expects a comfortable win for the Reds. “After that tough game against PSG, playing Southampton at home is exactly what Liverpool would want before facing PSG again on Tuesday,” he said.
For Chelsea’s game against Leicester, Shearer believes the home side will come out on top. “Leicester have been struggling, and with Chelsea playing at home, I can’t see any other result,” he said.
As for Manchester United versus Arsenal, Shearer is backing the Gunners to take all three points. “Arsenal had an easy game the other night, while United are still dealing with their issues. I’m going for an Arsenal win,” he added.
