Kim Soo Hyun Confirms He Dated Kim Sae Ron After She Became an Adult
In a recent development, Gold Medalist, the agency representing renowned actor Kim Soo Hyun, has confirmed his past relationship with the late actress Kim Sae Ron.
The agency clarified that the two were romantically involved from the summer of 2019 to the autumn of 2020, a period during which Kim Sae Ron was legally an adult. This statement is to dispel circulating rumors suggesting that their relationship began when she was still a minor.
The controversy intensified following allegations made by the Garo Sero Institute on YouTube, which claimed that Kim Soo Hyun had dated Kim Sae Ron while she was underage. In response, Gold Medalist provided detailed clarifications, stating, “Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron dated after she became an adult. It is completely untrue that they were in a relationship when she was a minor.”
The agency further addressed specific claims regarding photographs shared by the institute, noting that the images in question were taken during their relationship in 2019 and 2020, not in 2016 as alleged.
They emphasized that metadata from one particular photo indicated it was captured on December 24, 2019, and that the clothing worn by Kim Sae Ron in the image was released by the brand in June 2019, making it impossible for the photo to have been taken in 2016.
Additionally, the agency addressed speculation surrounding a letter Kim Soo Hyun sent to Kim Sae Ron during his military service.
They explained that it was a casual letter exchanged between close friends and that the phrase “I miss you” was commonly used among friends in the military. The agency dismissed claims that the letter indicated a romantic relationship dating back to 2015 as misleading.
Gold Medalist also expressed concern over Kim Soo Hyun’s current mental state, revealing that he is under extreme stress following the reports. They noted that individuals with cameras have been lurking around the company premises, adding to the stress.
The agency emphasized that, while public figures are subject to scrutiny, the past relationship between two consenting adults is now being distorted into a false narrative.
