In recent developments, Gold Medalist, the agency representing actor Kim Soo-hyun, has addressed rumors concerning his alleged romantic involvement with the late actress Kim Sae-ron. These speculations arose following the release of certain materials by Kim Sae-ron’s family, suggesting a past relationship between the two actors.

The controversy began when Kim Sae-ron’s family provided a YouTube channel, Hoverlab, with content implying that Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Sae-ron had been in a romantic relationship starting when she was a minor.

This included a text message dated March 19, 2024, in which Kim Sae-ron appeared to be seeking financial assistance from Kim Soo-hyun, expressing her inability to repay a debt of 700 million won (approximately $525,000) immediately and requesting more time. Additionally, a photograph depicting the two in an intimate pose was shared.

Gold Medalist Statement

In light of these allegations, Gold Medalist issued a firm denial, stating that the claims made by Hoverlab regarding Kim Soo-hyun are unequivocally false. The agency emphasized that the assertions of a romantic relationship between Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Sae-ron starting from when she was 15 are baseless.

Furthermore, Gold Medalist expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Kim Sae-ron and condemned the spread of such false information.

This is not the first time rumors have circulated regarding Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Sae-ron. In March 2024, Kim Sae-ron briefly posted, then deleted, a photo of herself with Kim Soo-hyun on social media, which led to dating rumors.

At that time, Gold Medalist clarified that the photo was taken in the past when both actors were under the same management and denied any romantic involvement. The agency also stated that they were unaware of Kim Sae-ron’s intentions behind posting the photo.

Additionally, following Kim Sae-ron’s involvement in a DUI incident in May 2022, Gold Medalist chose not to renew her contract, leading to her departure from the agency.
