Lady Gaga Announces Plans to Write and Star in a New Broadway Musical
Lady Gaga, fresh off the success of her latest album “Mayhem,” has expressed a strong desire to venture into the world of theater by writing a Broadway musical.
During a recent Q&A session with fans, she shared her enthusiasm for this new endeavor, stating, “I think that I would really love to write a musical. And I feel like that would bring me so much joy, and to work with some amazing writers.”
Gaga emphasized the importance of finding the right story to tell and collaborating with the right people, indicating that she wants to dedicate years of work to ensure the project’s success.
While fans have suggested she take on iconic roles such as Blanche from “A Streetcar Named Desire” or The Witch from “Into the Woods,” Gaga expressed a preference for creating original content rather than pursuing existing roles.
Acknowledging the demanding nature of Broadway performances, Gaga admired the dedication of theater actors who perform eight shows a week. She humorously remarked on the possibility of a lighter schedule, saying, “I can’t do that. Then they’ll say, ‘She only did six!’”
This announcement comes on the heels of her album “Mayhem,” which has been well-received by fans and critics alike. Known for her versatility and passion for the arts, Gaga’s potential transition to Broadway is highly anticipated and could mark a significant milestone in her illustrious career.
