Lagos Communities Protest Electricity Tariff Hike
Several communities in Lagos have voiced their displeasure with the recent electricity tariff hike, organizing protests under the slogan “We don’t want Band A.” Residents argue that the hike is unreasonable given the unreliable power supply in many areas. The increase, categorized under “Band A” tariff rates, has sparked widespread frustration, as many feel that the cost does not match the level of service they are receiving. Communities are urging the government to reconsider the hike and improve power supply.
