Lawyer Ugwuonye Quits May and Yul Edochie Divorce Case Over Public Backlash
It has been reported that Emeka Ugwuonye, the lawyer handling the divorce between May Edochie and her estranged partner, Yul Edochie, has withdrawn his services and association with them.
An official statement was released by the lawyer’s firm, announcing the termination of his involvement in the Edochies’ divorce case.
The lawyer revealed his reason as the backlash his reputation and firm have received for handling the case.
“My staff face daily abuse from May’s supporters, having already endured similar attacks from Yul’s supporters. Queen May’s inability to meaningfully influence this increasingly toxic faction of her supporters is incompatible with the level of investment required for our representation.”
