English sports presenter Richard Keys has criticized Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim, accusing him of trying to get himself fired after the team’s 3-1 loss to Brighton in the Premier League on Sunday.

After the defeat to Brighton at Old Trafford, Amorim raised eyebrows during a post-match interview, declaring that his team might be “the worst in the club’s history.”

Richard Keys didn’t hold back in his response, writing in his blog that Amorim’s remarks were unhelpful and out of line. “What was Ruben Amorim thinking when he said his team might be the worst in Manchester United’s history?” Keys asked.

“Everyone knows United are struggling—that’s why he was hired. It’s his responsibility to fix the mess, not to publicly bash the very players he needs to rely on.”

Keys also expressed doubt over Amorim’s intentions, suggesting the manager might be deliberately inviting dismissal.

“I said weeks ago that it looked like he was trying to get himself sacked, and now I’m even more convinced. If I were his boss, I’d call him in today and grant his wish,” Keys added.

Carlo Ancelotti is reportedly set to leave Real Madrid at the end of the season, as revealed by Radioestadio Noche on Onda Cero.

In December 2023, Ancelotti extended his stay with Real Madrid by signing a new contract that would have kept him at the club until 2026.

However, despite his deep connection to Los Blancos, the allure of exploring new challenges appears to have convinced him to move on.

Interestingly, Ancelotti had the opportunity to leave Real Madrid earlier.

The Brazilian Football Confederation showed strong interest in appointing him as the head coach of the national team, a position that would have seen him lead Neymar and company in their quest for glory.

Despite the tempting offer, he chose to stay loyal to Madrid for one final chapter.

As rumors of his departure swirl, Xabi Alonso has emerged as the leading candidate to replace him. Alonso, a former Real Madrid star and one of Spain’s most celebrated midfielders, is making waves in coaching.

Last season, he led Bayer Leverkusen to a historic Bundesliga title, showcasing his tactical brilliance and leadership skills.
