Luis Milla Wants Real Madrid to Sell Vinicius Junior and Sign a New Striker
Former Real Madrid midfielder Luis Milla has urged the club to sell Vinicius Junior during the summer transfer window and reshape their attack.
Milla believes Madrid should cash in on the Brazilian winger and use the funds to bring in a new striker, allowing Kylian Mbappe to operate from his preferred left-wing position under Carlo Ancelotti.
Vinicius, who joined Madrid from Flamengo in 2018, has been linked with a potential move to Saudi Arabia in recent weeks. This season, he has delivered impressive numbers, scoring 18 goals and providing 13 assists in 41 appearances.
Despite his contributions, Milla thinks Madrid should move on. Speaking with El Desmarque, he explained, “If I were the sporting director, I would sell Vinicius and sign a striker, giving Mbappe the left-wing role. Vini is a fantastic player, but the club also needs to consider the image he projects. His value in the market is huge, and Madrid could use that money for big investments.”
