Marcus Rashford Joins Barcelona on Loan with €30m Buy Option
Marcus Rashford has officially signed as a new Barcelona player, according to Fabrizio Romano. The England forward joins the Spanish giants on loan from Manchester United, following a season where he struggled for game time under manager Ruben Amorim and was later loaned to Aston Villa.
Rashford arrived in Spain on Sunday after all documents were finalized. Barcelona will cover his entire €14 million gross salary (€7 million net), with Rashford also agreeing to a 15 percent pay cut. His deal with the Catalan club includes a €30 million buy option set for June 2026.
Head coach of Atletico Madrid, Diego Simeone, speaks on team defense and called out a player who needs to toughen up. He shared that Ademola Lookman needs to work on defense.
“Ademola Lookman arrived with great enthusiasm and desire to keep growing. We need him to add defensive work to what he already gives us offensively, because he has that ability,” he then added.
“He’s shown it with the Nigeria national team, and we need him in that role.”
