Mbappe Refuses to Support Lamine Yamal for 2025 Ballon d’Or
Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappe has chosen not to support Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal in the race for the 2025 Ballon d’Or.
In an interview with BILD, the French captain acknowledged Yamal’s talent but made it clear that his LaLiga rivalry with Barcelona prevents him from backing the young star.
Both Mbappe and Yamal are among the top 30 nominees for this year’s prestigious award. When asked directly whether Yamal could win, Mbappe responded through Le Parisien.
“Lamine Yamal? He is a very good player, but he is from Barcelona. I can’t say anything.”
