New Zealand coach Barren Bazeley spoke on the country’s recent match and shared his thoughts on why the team lost against Egypt in the World Cup.

The coach shared in a recent interview “It’s disappointing. We were so good in the first half. We dominated possession and created a lot of chances. We came out in the second half, and I thought we were okay, but we didn’t quite get to the pace of the game.”

“Egypt upped the tempo and we couldn’t replicate what we were doing so well in the first half.”

When asked in a brief interview, he shared that Lionel Messi is the best forward so far.

“Messi by far. What he does with a football is scary; it shouldn’t really happen. I think people seem to write him off all the time, or say he’s getting a little bit too old.

“Is this probably going to be the last World Cup? But to do what he’s done, and if they retain the World Cup, what a dream that will be for him to go with.”

PSG player Achraf Hakimi is set to attend trial as he faces allegations of rape. It can be noted that a woman reported in 2023 that she was raped by the player.

While the player has denied the allegations, he will face court proceedings for the case to be resolved.

The player showed readiness for the trial and stated that he would like to defend himself against the allegations.

“I have been waiting for this trial since day one. At last, I’ll be able to speak.”
