American rapper NBA YoungBoy, 25, has pleaded guilty to charges related to a prescription drug fraud scheme based in Utah.

Despite facing 46 state charges initially, most were dropped in a plea deal that saw him admit guilt to two counts of third-degree felony identity fraud, two counts of felony forgery, and six counts of misdemeanor unlawful pharmacy conduct.

Appearing before Utah 1st District Judge Spencer Walsh, NBA YoungBoy avoided additional jail time but was fined $25,000.

The rapper, already serving 27 months on federal charges, will also serve five years of probation after his release.

Authorities uncovered the scheme when individuals were arrested using his car to collect fraudulent prescriptions. Evidence linked NBA YoungBoy to mismatched prescription details and fraudulent bottles, leading to his indictment. Judge Walsh commended his talent and wished him luck moving forward.

“No, I don’t think many people will blame the Tinubu administration for what is happening now because President Donald Trump, when he first made the threats, it was clearly not in coordination with the Tinubu administration or the government of Nigeria,” Jega said.
