Scientists at City of Hope Hospital, Los Angeles, have developed a breakthrough cancer drug, AOH1996, capable of destroying solid tumors while sparing healthy cells.
The drug targets the previously “undruggable” protein PCNA, crucial for cancer growth.
After 20 years of research, AOH1996 has demonstrated effectiveness against 70 cancer cell lines, including breast and lung cancer.
