Nigerian Biochemist Sets New Guinness World Record with 75 Hours Video Game Marathon
Oside Oluwole, a Nigerian biochemist and automobile dealer known as Khoded, has recently achieved a remarkable feat by setting a new world record recognized by the Guinness World Records.
At just 24 years old, Oluwole successfully completed a marathon gaming session lasting an astonishing 75 hours, focusing on a popular soccer video game and engaging in over 500 matches during his marathon session.
This accomplishment surpasses the previous record of 50 hours, which was set by Englishman David Whitefoot back in 2022.
Oluwole’s determination to break this record was not merely for personal glory but also as a means to raise funds for a local hospital in his hometown of Ijebu-Ode, Nigeria.
The Guinness World Records highlighted Oluwole’s achievement, noting that his achievement stands out for the substantial margin by which he exceeded the previous record.
Initially set at 24 hours in 2010, the endurance record for continuous gaming has seen several challengers over the years, gradually increasing to 50 hours before Oluwole’s remarkable 75-hour milestone.
This impressive display of endurance and skill in gaming has garnered widespread recognition and serves as a testament to Oluwole’s commitment to both his passion for gaming and his community.

Analyst Says Tinubu Not Responsible for Recent U.S.-Linked Airstrike Claims
Nigerian news analyst, Mahmud Jega, has shared his opinion on the recent airstrike carried out by the United States in Nigeria, stating that Nigerians should not blame President Bola Tinubu for the incident.
Jega made this statement during a recent interview, where he said he does not believe many people will hold the Tinubu administration responsible, as Donald Trump had issued threats against Nigeria long before Tinubu’s administration.
“No, I don’t think many people will blame the Tinubu administration for what is happening now because President Donald Trump, when he first made the threats, it was clearly not in coordination with the Tinubu administration or the government of Nigeria,” Jega said.
