Nigerian Comedian, Igosave Calls for Investigation into Internet Service Providers in Nigeria

Published

Nigerian Comedian, Igosave, claims internet service providers are cheating Nigerians in terms of business and states investigation is needed.

The comedian shared that the internet service providers are committing fraud with the citizens of the countries. He shared that the authorities of telecommunications should start an investigation on this matter.

The comedian stated on his social media page through a voice note.

“This is a clarion call to the Nigerian government, NCC, EFCC, ICPC to investigate all the telecom providers. The Internet providers in Nigeria are ripping Nigerians off. 20 gigabytes lasts one month in the UK while 50 gig one-month subscription in Nigeria doesn’t last up to three days. What’s the reason?

“Internet providers are defrauding Nigerians and they need to be investigated. There’s no difference between them and Internet fraudsters. How much is minimum wage in Nigeria that they are charging so much for data that doesn’t last?”

Sophie Choudry recently spoke openly about her experiences with the casting couch in Bollywood, sharing the struggles she faced as a newcomer in the industry. Starting her career as a singer and later moving into acting, Sophie recalled how some industry insiders used vague phrases like “adjust” and “compromise” when discussing roles. At the time, neither she nor her mother fully understood what these terms really meant.

She revealed that she had to turn down several big opportunities because of uncomfortable situations. Sophie mentioned that people often wrongly assumed that those coming from abroad would be “easy,” leading to inappropriate requests. She recalled moments when men said things like, “I want to meet you more,” or “My marriage is having problems,” which were thinly veiled attempts to pressure her into crossing her boundaries.

Sophie also talked about how the industry tends to stereotype actors from outside India, thinking they are more likely to accept such advances. She stressed how important it is to know your limits and be careful of those who don’t have sincere intentions.
