LASEPA Takes Action, Shuts Down Establishments for Noise Pollution
The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency, (LASEPA) , takes action and shuts down places contributing to noise pollution, places such as churches, bar and hotels. The Agency states that these places have been breaking environmental rules and closed them.
They released a statement of the establishments causing noise pollution to the environment, “The affected establishments include Honourable Lounge & Lodging, Redeemed Christian Church of God, Celestial Church of God, OMA Night Club and Lounge, Bridge Spot Bar. “Others are Okiki Event Centre and Hall, Emota Paradise Hotel (Phase 2), CF Hotel & Suites, House 27 Hotel & Suites, Echo Spring Hotel, and Smile T Continental Hotel”.

TCN Takes Responsibility for Today’s National Grid Collapse
The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) announces their accountability for the collapse of the national grid on Thursday 7th November, 2024. It was due to their repairs that the grid collapsed, The Spokesperson Ndidi Mbah states the grid became unstable around 11:29am.
TCN is now working on the repairs and will upgrade the transmission of the grid to make it more stable. The full restoration of light might take time as repairs continue.

Kidnapped Rector of Immaculate Conception Seminary, Fr. Oyode, Rescued After Two Weeks
Rev. Father Thomas Oyode, the kidnapped Rector of Immaculate Conception Seminary in Agenebode, Edo State, has regained his freedom nearly two weeks after being abducted by gunmen.
The priest was abandoned in a bush in Kogi State following coordinated efforts by security forces, including police, who carried out air surveillance over the forest where he was held.
The kidnappers had demanded a ransom of N200 million, but while negotiations were underway, security agencies tracked Fr. Oyode’s location. It remains unclear if any ransom was paid for his release.
The rescue was confirmed by AIG Arungwa Nwazue, Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 5, Benin. Fr. Oyode was abducted on October 27 during a prayer session at the seminary in Ivhianokpodi, Etsako East LGA, Edo State.
